This is the 4th inferno to destroy homes in the area this winter season. The KwaZulu-Natal provincial government said it would take on the responsibility of the funerals of the Kennedy Road informal settlement fire victims. Twenty-five-year-old Nonhle Mbango and 19-month-old Bandile Zulu died when the blaze engulfed the informal settlement outside Durban on Saturday.
