Five men stand accused of the Bafana Bafana captain’s 2014 murder in what the state believes was a hit.

The Senzo Meyiwa trial resumes on Monday  in the Pretoria High Court with the state expected to continue with its case.

Five men stand accused of the Bafana Bafana captain’s 2014 murder in what the state believes was a hit.

The court is set to establish the way forward from that inspection this morning.

Earlier this month, a special sitting was held in the Meyiwa trial where the court, including presiding judge Ratha Mokgoatlheng was shown exactly where Muzi Sibiya claims he was assaulted by police in order for him to confess to the football star’s murder.

The events of that in loco inspection must be put on record in the Pretoria High Court.

Currently on the witness stand is the lead investigating officer, Brigadier Bongani Gininda, who has denied assaulting Sibiya.

The court may also determine how many more witnesses the state will call and who the next state witness will be.

The court has already heard testimony from Zandile Khumalo, who was at the house when Meyiwa was shot, the neighbours who rushed to his aid before he died, and cell phone experts.
